香港島の風景

　香港も涼しくなりすごしやすくなった。季節風の向きが変わったのである。日本と同様、夏は海から風が吹くが、冬になると大陸から風が吹く。日本でも中国の大気汚染の話は聞くと思うが、香港ではその汚染された空気が季節風にのってやってくる。下の写真は九龍側から香港島を撮った写真である。香港島のビル郡がかすんでほとんど見えない。少なくとも10年前はこんなにひどくは無かったようだ。

Landscape of Hong Kong Island

　It's getting cooler and comfortable in Hong Kong. The direction of monsoon has been changed. In Hong Kong, the wind blows from sea in the summer and from continent in the winter as same as Japan. We can hear the news about Chinese air pollution frequently, however, in Hong Kong, actually the polluted air come from Mainland China on the monsoon.
　The photo illustrated above is taken from Kowloon side to Hong Kong side. It is impossible to see the buildings in Central district due to the haziness. I heard that it is not so bad at least ten years ago.
