九龍駅 エレメンツ

　今日は九龍駅エレメンツに行ってきた。ここは最近オープンしたショッピングセンターで、高級ブランドの店がずらりと並んである。

確かにファッショナブルではあるが、セントラルやハーバーシティーとほとんど同じ。あちこちにこのようなブランド品の店がならんだショッピングセンターがいくつもあるのだが、誰がそんなにたくさん買い物するのかいつも疑問である。現在ではここ香港でのブランド品の買い物は日本に比べても決して安くは無い。

基本的に私のような貧乏人には都会に用は無い。そして世界中の都市はすべて同じにようになっているような気がする。日本では今後地方分権が進んでいくと思われるが、各自治体はどのような特色を打ち出して街づくりをすすめていくのか、これは非常に難問である。センスもやる気も無い日本の役人に、街づくりの計画ができるのかどうかかなり疑問である。

Kowloon Station Elements

　I went to Elements in Kowloon station today. Here is the shopping centre opened recently and there are high-class brand stores. Actually, it is fashinable, but I think it's similar to the Central district and Harbor City in Tim Sha Tui.
　There are many shopping centre in Hong Kong and I want to know who buys so many expensive brand name goods. Actually, they are used to be cheap.
　Basically, the poors like me has nothing to do in the city and I think the cities in all over the world are getting similar to each other. The decentralization will be promoted in the days ahead in Japan. It is however very difficult for each municipality to make some policy how to characterize themselves. I doubt that the goverment official, without motivation and sense, can make city planning.
